There are six pillars of Zero Poaching that must be addressed simultaneously for any country to be successful. These are Assessment, Technology, Capacity, Community, Prosecution and Cooperation. On the ground, we are ensuring rangers are adequately trained, equipped and motivated to protect wildlife. WWF is also building partnerships with local communities to ensure that their rights are protected while delivering the conservation outcomes.
But traps for wildlife are set up in the forests faster than they can be removed. We are supporting governments in coordinating anti-poaching work with partners while supporting law enforcement and prosecutions to ensure wildlife crime is discouraged.
