PARTNER WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Tiger conservation can only be achieved long-term if local stakeholders and communities are supportive of having tigers and their habitats interspersed across their lands.
Partnering with local communities is a key outcome of WWF's tiger conservation strategy. From local communities living in and around tiger habitats, to corporations with supply chains across tiger landscapes, to urban dwellers whose consumer decisions affect tiger habitat, people are the cornerstone of our work to double and sustain tiger numbers into the future.
As we strive for tiger population recovery and growth, engaging with diverse communities of people becomes an indispensible and strategic part of the TX2 goal.
